Grace
Vice President of Engineering and Technology, ArvinMeritor
Inc. |
As vice
president of engineering and technology for ArvinMeritor,
Mr. Grace has direct responsibility for corporate engineering
at ArvinMeritor. Mr. Grace is a champion for the development
and conduct of the ArvinMeritor technology road-mapping
process. He is also the director of ArvinMeritor’s
Engineering Council and its Technology Council, as well
as the focal point for development of university and institute
technical programs for ArvinMeritor.
Prior
to Mr. Grace’s position at ArvinMeritor, he spent
five years as vice president of systems and technology for
Arvin Industries, Inc. He came to that position after more
than twenty years at Calspan Corp./Cornell Aeronautical
Laboratory (CAL), a nationally recognized research and development
laboratory. For the five years prior to joining Arvin, Mr.
Grace was vice president for product development. In his
last operations position operations with Calspan he headed
the Physical Sciences Department, consisting of approximately
one hundred engineers and scientists with a budget of $10MM.
Mr.
Grace has a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from
the University of Notre Dame, an M.S. in applied mathematics
from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. from the University
of Dayton. Mr. Grace is a member of Sigma Xi, the honorary
engineering society. He is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma,
the honorary society for scholastic excellence in the field
of business. Mr. Grace is a member of a number of engineering
societies, including the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers (ASME), Society of Automotive Engineers, and IEEE.
