Matthew
Siegel is the Chief Marketing Officer
and Managing Director of Strategic
Marketing for the GE Energy Financial
Services (EFS) business headquartered
in Stamford, Connecticut. He is responsible
for strategic analysis, marketing,
research and development, and new
business development for energy investing
and financing activities worldwide.
EFS
provides capital to energy companies
from wellhead to wallsocket, globally.
It offers a full spectrum of financial
products from senior debt, leases,
project finance equipment and corporation
finance to equity. It plans to invest
more than $3.5 billion in 2005 and
manages a $12+ billion portfolio of
global energy assets.
Mr.
Siegel joined the General Electric
Company in 1997. In 1998, he was named
Managing Director of Strategic Marketing
for GE Structured Finance’s
Global Energy unit. Since 1998, GE’s
Energy Financial Services business
has grown considerably, investing
beyond power plants to oil and gas
reserves, infrastructure (gas and
electric transmission/distribution)
in growing assets under management
from $4B to $12B+.
Prior
to joining GE, Mr. Siegel worked at
Duke-Louis Dreyfus, Booz-Allen &
Hamilton and Westinghouse. Mr. Siegel
is a graduate of Yale (MBA), MIT (M.S.,
Nuclear Engineering), Penn State (M.S.)
and Ursinus College (B.S.).
