On
May 6, 2008 ESD's director Yossi Sheffi,
Professor of Civil and Environmental
Engineering and Engineering Systems,
testified before the full House Committee
on Homeland Security in their session
"Broadening the Homeland Security
Strategy."
Sheffi's
testimony dealt with changing the
mission of DHS to include resilience
and supply chain considerations. Sheffi
is also the founder of the MIT Center
for Transportation and Logistics.
