About MIT's Cooperative Mobility Program

The MIT Cooperative Mobility Program (CMP) is an international research program, established in 1995 by the joint initiative of MIT and the Auto Governors of the World Economic Forum. The program brings together transportation scholars from MIT and other universities with transportation specialists and sponsors to explore current and future issues of worldwide mobility. More...

CMP Joins a Major New Study

Members of the CMP international research network have joined the MIT team chosen to lead a major new study of worldwide mobility trends, commissioned by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). MIT will produce both a Mobility 2000 report and develop scoping recommendations for a more extensive research enterprise to be undertaken over several additional years. More...

CMP People: The "Cooperative" Model

The Cooperative Mobility Program is an active partnership between transportation researchers and sponsoring firms concerned with mobility issues. CMP brings together transportation scholars from MIT and other universities around the world, including Harvard University, University of California, University of Tokyo, Université de Paris XII, and ETH Zentrum; as well as researchers affiliated with the World Bank and other institutions.
