The
ESD S.M. is constructed around core
areas chosen to give the student competence
in systems theory, quantitative methods
and the social / technical context. The
program
of study includes writing a Master’s
thesis. The requirements for ESD-LFM
students involves a more delineated course
of study. MIT students may petition to be
admitted to do a dual
degree.
Applicants
not currently enrolled at MIT are encouraged
to apply to one the 3 professional master’s
programs sponsored by or associated with
ESD - Leaders for Manufacturing (LFM),
Master of Engineering in Logistics (MLOG),
and Systems Design and Management (SDM),
or the research-oriented master’s
Technology and Policy Program (TPP).
