The
academic board of Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, Spain,
has notified Dr. Thomas J. Allen that he will be awarded
the title of Doctoris Honoris Causa. Dr. Allen is a Margaret
MacVicar Faculty Fellow, the Howard W. Johnson Professor
of Management at the MIT Sloan School. and Professor of
Engineering Systems at MIT's Engineering Systems Division.
In notifying Professor Allen of this honor, Miguel Gassiot,
rector of the university, noted that the proposal was supported
unanimously by the members of the academic board "on the
ground of your exceptional merits in the field of management
of technology and innovation."
The
honor is scheduled to be bestowed in early April.
