Simchi-Levi, Professor of Civil and
Environmental Engineering and Engineering
Systems, has been named Editor-in-Chief
of Operations Research, the
flagship journal of the Institute
for Operations Research and Management
Science (INFORMS).
Professor Simchi-Levi's appointment
is effective January 1, 2006.
Published
bi-monthly, Operations Research
is dedicated to the scientific research
of operations and serves the entire
operations research community, including
practitioners, researchers, educators,
and students. The journal covers areas
such as computing and decision technology;
decision analysis; environment, energy,
and natural resources; financial engineering;
manufacturing, service, and supply
chain operations; military; optimization;
policy modeling and public sector;
simulation and stochastic models;
telecommunications and networking;
and transportation.
Professor
Simchi-Levi is also a co-director
of ESD's Leaders
for Manufacturing and System
Design and Management programs.
