MIT
Professor and international supply
chain expert Yossi Sheffi will present
his new business bestseller “The
Resilient Enterprise: Overcoming Vulnerability
for Competitive Advantage”
at the Boston Public Library in Copley
Square on Tuesday, December 13 at
6:00 pm. The talk will be taped by
Book TV, a weekend program on upcoming
and established authors broadcast
by C-SPAN on the C-SPAN 2 channel.
Garnering
rave reviews from the Wall
Street Journal,
New York Times
and The Economist,
The Resilient Enterprise
provides a clear plan for managing
corporate disaster and disruption.
From fires and earthquakes to labor
strikes and terror attacks, Dr. Sheffi
provides a rich set of lessons on
how to prepare for and manage the
many business shocks of today’s
global market.
“In
a world of growing security concerns
- where natural disasters and terror
threats abound – my book provides
a systematic approach to corporate
self-defense.” said Dr. Sheffi,
a professor of Engineering Systems
at MIT. “Companies must start
preparing for the next crisis now,
and The Resilient Enterprise
will help them do just that.”
The
talk sponsored by the Boston Public
Library is free and open to the public.
It will take place Tuesday, December
13 at 6pm in Rabb Lecture Hall at
the library’s main branch in
Boston’s Copley Square. The
talk will be followed by a book signing
and reception.
