Professor Oli de Weck, Technical Program
Chair for the 2005
AIAA Multidisciplinary Design Optimization
Conference, is serving as
General Chair for this year.
In
this capacity, Prof. de Weck organizes
the conference, is responsible for
selecting keynote speakers, organizing
panel sessions, working with the Technical
Chair on paper reviews and forming
sessions, and generally promoting
the conference.
“This
year we had a 58% increase in the
number of submissions over last year,”
noted de Weck. “I am very proud
of how MDO is growing as a field in
its own right and how is supports
Systems Engineering and Engineering
Systems more broadly by providing
a rigorous modeling, simulation and
optimization capability in a complex
systems context.
