de Weck addresses swissnex delegation

Prof.
Olivier de Weck spoke to a delegation
from swissnex, the Swiss consulate
for science and technology, on March
30, 2009. Prof. de Weck provided an
overview of the types of research
happening within MIT Engineering Systems
Division, as well as a specific look
at his own research into change propagation
and work on the Swiss F/A-18.
The swissnex group participated in
several conversations at MIT that
were part of a larger series of events
organized in conjunction with the
opening of a new floor at swissnex
Boston. The events included an ongoing
SCIENCEsuisse exhibition at Logan
Airport and an opening ceremony at
which former US Vice President Al
Gore joined leading Swiss representatives
from the areas of politics, science,
academia, and finance to celebrate
the continuing success of the swissnex
network.
